You saved an article, but it's not showing up where you expected. Work through this checklist:
- Check the Status. Open the article in the admin Articles list — if Status shows "Draft", that's the reason. Switch it to "Published" and save.
- Check whether its category or subcategory is hidden. If Status already shows "Published" but a small "Internal" tag appears next to it, its subcategory or category is set to "Hide from public site" — open that subcategory or category and untick the box if you want this article public. See "Creating and Managing Categories" for how this setting works.
- Check the subcategory and category. Make sure you're actually looking in the right place on the public site — an article only appears under the one subcategory it's assigned to.
- Give the page a refresh. Listings and search reflect the database directly, so a published article should appear immediately — if it still doesn't after a refresh, double-check the Status again.
- Check for typos in the title if you're searching for it by name and not finding it — search matches the title, excerpt, and body text.
If none of these explain it, ask an administrator to check the Activity Logs (Monitoring section) for a record of the article being saved.
