Uploading and Managing File Attachments

By Administrator · Jul 28, 2026 · 12 views

Attachments are separate files linked to an article that visitors can download — use them for things that don't belong inline in the article text, like a full PDF manual or a PowerPoint deck.

Allowed file types and size

Allowed file typesLimit
PDF (.pdf)5 MB per file
PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx)5 MB per file
Images (.png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .webp)5 MB per file

There's no limit on how many files you can attach to one article, other than each individual file staying under 5 MB.

Attaching a file

  1. On the article create or edit page, find the Attachments card on the right.
  2. Click Choose Files — you can select more than one at once.
  3. Save the article as usual. Files upload together with the rest of the form.

Reviewing and removing attachments

On the article's edit page, existing attachments are listed with their file name, size, and type. Click a listed attachment to preview it in a popup without downloading it first. Click the remove icon next to one to detach and permanently delete that file — this takes effect as soon as you click it, not only after you save the rest of the form.

On the public article page, attachments appear as a downloadable list beneath the article content.
