To protect your account, the platform automatically signs you out after a period of inactivity. This article explains what you'll see and why.

The inactivity badge

Next to the search box in the top bar, a small badge with an hourglass icon counts down the time left before automatic sign-out. Any action in the admin panel — opening a page, saving a form — resets the timer. The countdown length is set by an administrator and can differ by role; if you're not sure why yours is longer or shorter than a coworker's, that's why.

When the countdown reaches zero, the page reloads and sends you back to the login screen. This is normal and simply means you were idle — sign back in to continue exactly where you left off.

Signing in with Google

If your organization has enabled it, you'll see a Sign in with Google button on the login page. It only works if the Google account you use shares the same email address as an existing account in this system — it never creates a brand-new account on its own. If you see an error saying no account was found, sign in with your email and password instead, or ask an administrator to check your account's email address.
